As of this writing, I’m hungry! I’ve been fasting all day (Thursday) because nothing in my fridge was appetizing!
After this post is written, however, it may be another story!
Going grocery shopping today! YAY FRIDAY! YAY PAY DAY!
HA. I need to get better at budgeting my money — especially in advance of my (HOPEFULLY!) Whole30 in October.
Here’s what’s (HOPEFULLY) coming up on the blog. Very PRELIMINARY, pre-grocery-shopping plan!:
Stuffed Chicken Breasts (which I have made before) — similar to what you see pictured below:
Paleo coconut chicken tenders with homemade BBQ + veggie TBA
BBQ chicken wings, utilizing leftover BBQ sauce + veggies TBA
NEXT WEEK’S LUNCH
Spicy sausage (homemade from my grocery store), and Brussels Sprout Salad, with shredded Brussels, and cream cheese and/or sour cream and/or seasonings.
With fruit and nut salad with coconut milk:
SB&J BURGERS courtesy Melissa Joulwan at TheClothesMakeTheGirl.com! This recipe is at the TOP of my “To-Make” List, and I CANNOT WAIT for it!!!!!!!!!! Melissa was SO KIND as to retweet my blog post this past Wednesday, on “National Cheeseburger Day”:
So I unofficially declare her as the Nicest Paleo Blogger! And I am in LOVE with all of her recipes! SERIOUSLY, visit her blog!
I CANNOT WAIT to eat this. And it will be my dinner ALL. WEEK. LONG! Something to look forward to every day 🙂 Thank you, Melissa!!!
My LOVELY boyfriend gifted me with a brand new food processor for my birthday this week <3. I’ve been without one for what seems like too long, and I am DYING to put it to use!
My previous food processor died. I think it was tired of making hummus every week! 🙂
I would also LOVE to make Melissa Joulwan’s “Sunshine Sauce” — which I still haven’t tried. I want to be able to make it PERFECTLY. Everyone’s raving about it and I hope I’ll be able to join the crowd after this weekend!
I’m sure getting tired of rice and leftover, frozen brats — thus, the unintentional fast on Thursday.
BUT — I’m also the mother of a child, in the form of a 20+ pound Shiba Inu puppy who is our world, and has lately been racking up the vet bills (just the ordinary, puppy checkups!) and his neutering comes soon! Sooo, the budget is constrained! PLUS, his neutering comes up in weeks!
Then, we’ll hopefully have a happy and healthy big boy, and can get back on track — before it’s time for a “Shibling” 🙂
And Hatchet, after all, is the most important!
