We’re on board a rollercoaster again when it comes to temperatures in southeastern Wisconsin. It has been hot and sticky early this week, with temperatures in the 80s and high dewpoints, but it looks like we’re on the downhill slope now!
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 70s Thursday, and low 60s on Friday!
Each little glimpse of Fall Mother Nature decides to provide makes me excited. Fall is my favorite season (I’m pretty sure I’m with many others on this!)
There is just something about living in the Midwest in Fall — the leaves changing colors, the nice crisp weather, the apple orchard, (healthy) comfort food, pumpkin spice, etc.
I spotted a recipe for a PALEO Pumpkin Spice Latte/Pumpkin Spice Creamer, and this got me looking forward to sipping on warm, pumpkin-y beverages!
I used to love me a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte, but I’ll admit, beginning last year when I was strict Paleo, I could barely get through a small Pumpkin Spice Latte! They were just so, so sweet!
I’m always up for making my favorite Fall beverages more Paleo and healthy! Last year, I made my own, homemade, Paleo version of one of my favorite alcoholic beverages — Bailey’s!
Obviously, it was a little different than the original, but delicious, and this will be made this Fall/winter — probably frequently!
This is another warm beverage to enjoy on a cool day.
This recipe is meant to be used as a sort of coffee creamer, but it could also be enjoyed straight, for a caffeine-free warm milk drink (without the dairy!)
The recipe calls for coconut milk or almond milk, canned pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, honey, and vanilla extract.
Everything is combined in the blender, and this creamer will last for about a week in the fridge!
